Apple launches new Beats headphones with 50-hour battery life that are half the ... trends now

Apple is releasing the next-gen of its Beats Solo 4 today, promoting the updated device as an 'outstanding' model and its cheapest earphones to date.

The new product is advertised as the 'perfect on-the-go companion,' with prices listed at just $200, down from the previous Solo 3 model which cost $300 when it was released in 2016 and comes in three colors: matte black, blue and pink.

The upgraded earphones offer an upgraded sound that delivers 50 hours of battery life and in a shocking twist, is compatible with both iOS and Android phones. 

Solo 4 is available to order starting today and shipping within the US is set for Thursday, May 2, the company announced and will release its new Beats Solo Buds in June.

Apple's Solo 4 model has an ultra-light design, weighing less than half a pound and offers personalized spatial audio, dynamic head tracking and a Find My Device feature.
