UK porn sites will have to prove their users are 18

Porn websites will be legally required to have age verification tools checking all users are over the age of 18 by April 2018.

Users will have to provide credit card details, in the same way as gambling websites, to verify that they are an appropriate age for the content.

The move is part of a broader push to make the internet safer for children and is being introduced as part of the UK government's Digital Economy Act.
