A man has died after a house caught fire leaving the property badly damaged as the arson squad is called in to investigate the cause of the blaze.
The horrifying incident happened at a property in Hawksbill Drive, in Alkimos, in Perth's northwest at 10.35pm on Monday.
Firefighters from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and police, rushed to the scene after they were alerted to the fire engulfing the home.
The body of a man was found at the scene as emergency crews battled to douse the flames.
