A 95-year-old teacher left her life savings of $1 million to the beloved Virginia public school district she taught at for more than six decades.
Lillian Orlich, or Mrs. O as she was more commonly known, worked as a teacher and counselor at Prince William County's Schools until she retired at age 89.
Orlich passed away on March 7 at the Commonwealth Senior Living in Manassas, Virginia, and left a whopping $1 million to her school district in Virginia.
'You know what's a highlight for me? When a student comes in here and says, "Ms. Orlich, you taught my granddad,"' Orlich told local NBC affiliate WRC-TV in 2013.
According to her obituary, Orlich grew up in New York and moved to Manassas in 1950 to start her teaching career. Born in 1928, she's been teaching in the same school district since she was 22 years old.

The teacher was dedicated, showing up to Osbourn Park so early that she was given her own pair of keys to unlock the school.
