A transgender husband and wife who've just welcomed a baby with their live-in biological female girlfriend revealed the tensions in their 'very modern family' as they share one cramped bed in a small Brooklyn apartment.
A throuple consisting of a woman, a transgender man, and a transgender woman welcomed a son together on April 3, named Rochbert Joseph Ozymandias, or Rocco.
Grace Lavery, who was born male but now identifies as female, and her former agony aunt husband Daniel Lavery, who was born female but now identifies as male, started dating back in 2018, when they were both in the midst of transitioning.
They tied the knot one year later, but in 2021, the couple, who live in Brooklyn, New York, decided to add a third person to their romance: a woman named Lily Woodruff.
Their living arrangements and close working proximity have led to some tension - with Danny and Lily having their first proper fight over recycling in December.
In a candid conversation with The Cut, Danny admitted to being a 'd***' at times, with he and Lily a little on tiptoes around each other.

Grace and Lily had become intimate first after meeting online a year on from Grace and Danny's wedding, The Cut reported.
'There were ways in which I still felt like you and I would sometimes be on our 'company manners' around each other,' Danny as he explained his relationship with Lily.
'I think the outcome has been really positive,' Lily said.
'I'm really sorry we had to go through my being a d***,' Danny added.
Their nightly routines vary, with one partner retiring early for teeth brushing while the others enjoy a late meal before eventually settling into bed together.
Danny told The Cut he brushes his teeth by 8:30 pm while Lily and Grace will often have a meal at about 10 pm. Then Danny will climb into bed about midnight.
Danny described the household as 'lesbian dominant,' but explained that it's not about asserting dominance but acknowledging their shared background and experiences within lesbianism.
'I don't mean that in the sense of we're dominant lesbians,' he told The Cut. 'I just mean we all have enough of a background in lesbianism and the processing of the lesbian school, which not all lesbians do, or have to do, or should do, but which does exist. I think we all like it.'
