Potholes are making our homes shake: Neighbours reveal how trucks hitting ... trends now

Residents living in a road plagued by potholes have told how their homes shake as if hit by 'earth tremors' when vans or trucks hit them and say they are living in fear of a sinkhole appearing unless urgent action is taken.

People living on Sandown Road in Whitefield, Gtr Manchester, said the problem is getting worse because council workmen have botched repairs.

One couple said they fear their house could collapse if further damage is done and the potholes collapse into sinkholes.

Other motorists have had to pay out hundreds of pounds to fix their cars after they are carved up by the holes that blight the community.

Nearby Ripon Avenue also has a patchwork of potholes.
