Lauren Sanchez shares a VERY pointed message on Instagram after being branded ... trends now

Lauren Sanchez has seemingly fired back at celebrity restauranteur Keith McNally with a series of pointed messages shared to her Instagram in the wake of his shocking late-night rant about her. 

Former TV anchor Lauren, 54, posted two telling messages on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night, hours after Keith, 72, came under furious criticism for his scathing - and apparently unprompted - criticism of her. 

The first of the posts saw Jeff Bezos' fiancée re-sharing an image of a quote that read: 'People will love you, people will hate you, and none of it will have anything to do with you.' 

Her second post featured a quote from fashion stylist Rachel Zoe: 'Lead with kindness, root for other people, cheer for those you love. Just honestly wish everyone the best.'  

Although Lauren did not address Keith directly, the pointed messages come after a brutal late-night Instagram rant from the Balthazar owner.

Keith, who famously feuded with James Corden over an omelet dispute, shared a carousel of recent pictures of Sanchez and Bezos, and proceeded to skewer the pair in a post that went up late Monday night.

'Does anybody else find Jeff Bezos' New wife - Lauren Sanchez - ABSOLUTELY REVOLTING?' he wrote in the scathing social-media post.

'What an ugly and F***ing SMUG - LOOKING couple they make. Is this what having 1000 Billion dollars does to people?'

But while Keith is not known for backing down in the face of criticism, he appeared to make a rather rare admission of guilt late on Tuesday night when she shared a promo for his upcoming memoir - the title of which says it all: 'I Regret Almost Everything'. 

Tellingly, the restaurant owner revealed that, while he started writing his memoir back in 2018, the final line of the book was finished on Monday night, perhaps suggesting that the tome will see him addressing the bitter backlash over his latest Instagram tirade.  

'I finished writing my memoir yesterday,' the celebrity restaurateur captioned the post, alongside with a snap of the cover for his memoir.

'It's being published by Simon & Schuster next February. I wrote the first line in a loony bin in Massachusetts in August 2018. And the last line on Thompson Street in NYC last night.'

He continued: 'I've written for four hours every single morning for the last 68 months. (And to what avail?)'

His latest post did not address why he chose to go after Lauren in the first place.  

However, Keith's seemingly unprovoked roast came just one week after she and Jeff made several public appearances together in Washington, D.C. at the White House's state dinner for the Prime Minister of Japan and to present the Courage and Civility Award - an annual grant of $100million that Jeff distributes.

The future Mrs. Bezos has some high-profile defenders, including her celeb pal Chrissy Teigen, who touted Lauren's admirable qualities. 

'She's actually incredibly dynamic, accomplished and kind, and everyone who knows her would say the same,' wrote the entertainment personality and wife of John Legend. 

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle also jumped to Sanchez's defense, writing: 'No. I think she's accomplished, kind, smart and loved. Social media is fun, but this is not. It is just mean for no reason. If we all took a breath and thought about what it feels like to be mocked and teased, we'd do a lot less of it.'

Keith McNally, who owns New York City hot-spots Balthazar, Pastis, Minetta Tavern, and Morandi, has previously picked several fights with well-known visitors to his restaurants.

In October of 2022, he started a weeks-long feud with James Corden, who reportedly screamed at McNally's Balthazar staff over an all-yolk omelet his wife had attempted to order.

McNally posted a long statement to Instagram detailing the then late-night host's alleged unpleasant encounters with the Balthazar staff and issuing a ban as a guest of his establishments.  

James, who has on multiple occasions been pegged as difficult to work with, defended himself on-air and in a New York Times profile at the time.

He apologized, Keith reversed the ban, and things were smoothed over for a bit, but only until the restaurant boss got his hands on a copy of the London Times, in which Corden denied ever screaming at anyone.
