The washout continues as heavy rain and brisk cold winds are set to hammer parts of England - but a warm blast is on its way.
The gloomy April showers could drizzle on today with heavy rain and strong gusts forecast moving north across eastern parts of the country today.
However, Met Office Marco Petagna said in a video weather update: 'It could brighten up briefly towards the far southeast, but that will also set off some heavy local thundery showers and during the afternoon the rain will reach the east of Scotland.'
The expected continued downpour has brought on flood warnings for parts of England - announced by the Met Office this morning.
There are currently 75 flood alerts in place where flooding is possible as well as five flood warnings.
