A wanted man has been caught and charged in relation to the death of a woman who died from her injuries a week after a fatal road crash.

Cameron Jones, 29, from Merthyr, has appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Demi Leigh Mabbitt was in a single-car collision at around 11.45pm on April 5 on Swansea Road, in Merthyr Tydfil. The 25-year-old then passed away on April 12.

Jones is also charged with causing death by driving a vehicle whilst unlicenced/uninsured, failing to stop following a road traffic collision, failing to report a road traffic collision and causing death whilst disqualified from driving.

Ms Mabbitt, 25, died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. South Wales
