Hillary Clinton says 'don't vote for anyone you wouldn't trust with your dog' ... trends now
Hillary Clinton trolled South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem Monday, after she admitted in her forthcoming book that she shot and killed her 14-month-old dog, Cricket.
Clinton had tweeted 'Don't vote for anyone you wouldn't trust with your dog,' in February 2021.
Back then the message was aimed at Republican Sen. Ted Cruz - who left the family poodle Snowflake at home while he vacationed in Cancun amid a dangerous Texas winter storm.
'Still true,' Clinton posted to X Monday, a clear jab a Noem over her decision to murder Cricket.
Noem's new book, No Going Back: The Truth on What's Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward, detailed how she gunned down the dog and a male goat in an effort to show she's capable of dealing with anything that's 'difficult, messy and ugly.'

Clinton originally wrote, 'Don't vote for anyone you wouldn't trust with your dog' after Republican Sen. Ted Cruz left his dog Snowflake home in Texas during a major winter storm - on Monday she applied the same motto to Noem
But she clearly underestimated the fallout.
'She's DOA,' one Trump ally told The Hill, suggesting she had tanked her chances of becoming former President Donald Trump's 2024 running mate.
'Any time you have to respond more than once to a story, it's not good,' the source added.
Another Republican strategist reiterated that point.
'She's basically taken herself out of the running to be VP,' the strategist told the newspaper.
In the book, the governor writes that she shot Cricket, a 14-month-old wirehaired pointer at the gravel pit on her family property, moments before her children came home from school.
The dog, Noem claimed, had an 'aggressive personality' that couldn't be tamed - as evidenced by the fact that Cricket ruined a pheasant hunt for being 'out of her mind with excitement, chasing all those birds and having the time of her life.'
