Former President Donald Trump received the green light Tuesday from the judge presiding over the Stormy Daniels hush money trial to attend his son Barron's high school graduation next month.
The former president complained on the first day of the trial that he may be barred by Judge Juan Merchan from seeing 18-year-old Barron receive his diploma.
A furious Trump said: 'It looks like the judge will not let me go to the graduation of my son who's worked very, very hard.'
'He's a great student and he's very proud of the fact he did so well and was looking forward for years to having his graduation with his mother and father there, and it looks like the judge isn't gong to allow me to escape this scam, it's a scam trial,' Trump said earlier this month.
On Tuesday, however, Merchan said, 'I don't think the May 17 date is a problem. Mr. Trump can attend that date, attend his son's graduation.'

It came as Trump was fined $9,000 for social media posts that Merchan said violated the court's gag order.
As a criminal defendant in the Manhattan case, it's mandatory for Trump to appear in court each day.
