This is the shocking moment a hooded thug steals a bike in London's Canada Water.
A young man dressed entirely in black, with his hood up and a PPE mask hiding his face, was filmed stealing a bike yesterday outside of a train station in south London.
He is seen easily tearing the bicycle away from the rack it is chained to with a bar and carelessly tosses it onto the road along with the helmet.
Then he and another man dressed in black with a mask go to ride off on the bikes.
As the filming bystander approached, he said: 'You absolute...what are you doing?'
The cyclist then looks back and shouts 'shut up bruv' as he rides off and the cameraman calls him a 'scumbag'.
Posting the footage on X, the man said: '9am this morning at Canada Water. So sad for the owner of this bike.

'Didn't take much to twist it off with a bar. Apparently they're there every day.
'I know there's no point in challenging them and safety etc but still it's just wrong.'
Commenting on social media, concerned viewers advised the cameraman not to intervene for his safety.
Another said: 'I would never leave a bike chained anywhere in London for longer than about 20 seconds unless I was watching it. Greenwich is the same - I've seen them with bolt croppers, bikes stolen in a matter of seconds in a busy street.'
