A Michigan man realized he had a winning Lucky For Life lottery ticket in the middle of the night.

Donald Heilig, 69, has been identified as the winner of a $390,000 lottery prize off a ticket he bought at Hub Sports Bistro in Macomb Township.

According to Click On Detroit, Heilig's numbers matched the digits on the white balls that were drawn on April 19: 05-08-24-28-34.

'I play lottery regularly, usually Daily 4, but on April 19, I decided to try Lucky For Life,' Heilig told the outlet.

'It really was hard to know if I was dreaming or if I had really won big because it was the middle of the night.'

Heilig showed the ticket to his wife the following day, and after they scanned over it 'at least 10 times,' the couple went to claim their prize at the Michigan Lottery Headquarters.
