Trump's youngest son Barron, 18, will make his first major foray into politics ... trends now

The youngest son of former president Donald Trump, Barron, is set to make his first major foray into politics after he was chosen to serve as the delegate for Florida to the Republican National Convention before he has even graduated from high school.

Barron, who only turned 18 in March, was chosen as one of the state's 41 at-large delegates to the national gathering of Republicans in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in mid-July.

He will be one of the estimated 2,429 delegates who are expected to officially nominate his father as the Republican candidate for the 2024 race.

Florida GOP chair Evan Power told NBC: 'We have a great delegation of grassroots leaders, elected officials and even Trump family members.

'Florida is continuing to have a great convention team, but more importantly we are preparing to win Florida and win it big.'

Barron has largely been kept out of the public eye, but was brought into the spotlight this week after a judge delayed his father's hush money trial in New York so that he can attend Barron's high school graduation on May 17.

'It looks like the judge will not let me go to the graduation of my son who's worked very, very hard,' a furious Trump had said of New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan at the outset of his trial less than two weeks ago.

'He's a great student and he's very proud of the fact he did so well and was looking forward for years to having his graduation with his mother and father there, and it looks like the judge isn't gong to allow me to escape this scam, it's a scam trial.'

He raged on his struggling social media platform: 'Who will explain for me, to my wonderful son, Barron, who is a GREAT Student at a fantastic School, that his Dad will likely not be allowed to attend his Graduation Ceremony, something that we have been talking about for years.

'[All] because a seriously Conflicted and Corrupt New York State Judge wants me in Criminal Court on a bogus 'Biden Case' which, according to virtually all Legal Scholars and Pundits, has no merit, and should NEVER have been brought.'

To the surprise of many, Merchan last Tuesday relented, ruling the Republican presidential candidate could attend - on one condition.
