Junior lawyers working at a US law firm in the City could now be earning up to £180,000 a year as firms compete to hire staff.
Quinn Emanuel has hiked its base salary for newly-qualified workers by 18 per cent – which could be as much as £8,900 a month after tax.
It follows a move from rival Gibson Dunn, which raised pay to £180,000.
