Queensland family of beloved father who vanished almost a week ago reveal why ... trends now
A desperate search is continuing for a beloved father who disappeared almost a week ago after leaving his wallet and phone at home.
Geoff Rayner, 53, vanished without a trace from Tugun, Queensland, on his way to the NSW border at 10:30am on May 8.
Mr Rayner's partner, Carmel May, has been updating family and friends in the Gold Coast via Facebook but so far there has been no solid trace of him.
He was last seen driving a white Prado Rego towards the NSW Hinterland and Ms May said once his car is located the SES is ready to launch a full search.
Mr Rayner has a grey beard, grey hair, a wide build, is caucasian and wears prescription glasses.

Mr Rayner disappeared without a trace from Tugun, Queensland, and was thought to be on his way towards the New South Wales Hinterland at 10:30am on May 7
In the latest update, Ms May confirmed that there was still no trace of Mr Rayner as of Monday, and that the search had extended into NSW's northern rivers.
On Friday, she said that Mr Rayner had never acted like this and that the family was concerned after finding he had left most of his possessions, including his phone and wallet, at home before disappearing.
