Julie Snyder will return to Radio-Canada this summer, with a show on Ici Radio-Canada Première.

Formerly at the helm of Enfer c’est nous autres, she will host the live 5 à 7 aux Îles avec … Julie from the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, starting July 2.

Snyder fell in love the islands several years ago, Radio-Canada says, and her show will feature musical performances from the Le Pas Perdus theatre in Cap-aux-Meules. She will uncover the secrets of the region in the company of Madelinots, and alongside tourists new residents.

Her team includes Madelinot Mario Cyr, columnist Olivier Niquet, actress Valérie Blais and Stéphane Leclair, whom Radio-Canada describes as a “captain-director.”

Snyder will conduct an introspective interview each week in a lighthouse, the video of which will be available online.

In her 30-year career, this marks the first time Snyder will be the host of a radio show.
