The Festival Grand Prix du Crescent, a fixture of F1 weekend celebrations in Montreal since 1999, is broadening its base.

Held this year between June 8-10, the activities will also extend to de Maisonneuve Blvd., seeing that thoroughfare shutdown between Bishop and de la Montagne Sts. for the duration of the festival.

Organizers say the stretch of de Maisonneuve Blvd. will be transformed into a pedestrian walkway and allow for a larger performance stage to be set up at the corner of Crescent St.
