The Sûreté du Québec is investigating the death of a man that was found in the Gatineau River in Ste-Thérèse de la Gatineau on Saturday.

The man’s relatives could not find him at a campground and began a search. Around 1 p.m. they contacted the SQ to report his body had been found in the river.

Police had not yet disclosed the identity of the man on Saturday evening. 

The cause is death is suspected to be drowning.
