Traffic on the eastbound Eastern Townships Autoroute slowed to a crawl Saturday afternoon after an accident near Ange-Gardien, 60 kilometres east of Montreal.
Two people suffered minor injuries after the driver of a cube truck lost control of the wheel on Highway 10 about 12:50 p.m.
Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau of the Sûreté du Québec said the truck hit a guard rail. Environmental specialists are now on the scene cleaning up diesel fluid that leaked during the collision.
Bilodeau said traffic has slowed considerably as the highway has been reduced to one lane while clean-up is underway. There is no word yet on when the second lane will reopen.
