Colorado fire crew rescues dog and owner from floodwaters

The moment a fire crew rescued a dog and his owner from a car trapped in swift floodwaters has been caught on video.

Rescuers in Florence, Colorado say the dog Petey and his owner became trapped in the potentially deadly situation when the man parked his car in a dry creek bed that became flooded.

A thunderstorm had hit the area earlier, causing a flash flood that turned the dry creek into a raging torrent.
