Australian Olympic hero Geoff Huegill has gone from swimming champion to local pool cleaner in a career move he says suits him 'to a tee'.
After a post-career battle with drugs and alcohol, the 38-year-old has found his calling as the client manager for the Sydney-based Pool & Spa Whisperer.
'It's been good, I've really enjoyed it because I'm not stuck in an office,' Huegill told The Daily Telegraph last week.

'I've been around swimming pools for 35 years of my life so I understand filtration systems and pumps and backwashes... what's not to love?' he said.
Huegill, who won silver in the 4x100m medley relay and bronze in the 100m butterfly at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, said clients are stunned to have a swimming champion inspect their pools.
'Occasionally I rock up to people's backyards and people do get that shock of ''wow what are you doing here?'' But we work with a team of guys and a team... [that] take the headache and the pain away for the real estate agent or the pool owner.'
