Katie Couric announces new series with National Geographic

Katie Couric stopped by National Geographic ahead of her new six-hour series with the network on Tuesday after leaving Yahoo last week, 

The TV titan gave the first clue about the forthcoming project when she stopped by the National Geographic Museum in Washington DC on Tuesday.

Excited about the venture, Couric, 60, shared a photograph from inside the building and told fans excitedly: 'Stay tuned!'. 

She appears in the image with Courteney Monroe, the CEO of Global Networks.

'Went down to D.C. today to meet with the awesome folks at @NatGeo and Courteney Monroe, the kickass CEO of @NatGeo Global Networks, to talk about our upcoming six hour series! 

'I'm so excited to work with their team again...stay tuned!!!!' she wrote, adding the hashtags 'quality people' and 'quality content'.
