A blasé Syndey thief has been arrested with a stolen safe in a shopping trolley The 44-year-old man allegedly stole the safe from a nearby hotel in Rozelle He was arrested pushing it down Victoria Road at about 10.15am on Tuesday Following further inquiries, he was charged with another robbery at same hotel He is due to face several charges at Parramatta Local Court today, August 2

A nonchalant thief has been arrested and charged after allegedly stealing a safe before pushing it down a busy Sydney street in a shopping trolley in broad daylight.

The 44-year-old man allegedly stole a floor safe, cash and documents from a hotel on Victoria Road in Rozelle at about 4.15am on Tuesday.

He was arrested by police at about 10.15am on the same road and taken to Newtown Police Station.
