Former United States President Bill Clinton and former presidential candidate are scheduled to arrive in North Hatley, Quebec Sunday along with their daughter Chelsea and her two children.

Louise Penny, a successful author and friend of the couple, invited the Clintons to spend their vacation in the Eastern Townships and Manoir Hovey.

The United States Secret Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have been working to ensure the family’s safety while they visit. 

The Clintons intend to explore the region for a week to relax and enjoy the scenery, according to Penny.

TheManoir Hovey, where they will stay, ranks 27th in the Travel + Leisure magazine’s top 100 hotels in the world.
