Nicholas Gully was arrested after the 14-year-old boy claimed to have been assaulted at the King Alfred Leisure Centre in Hove, East Sussex in January.
The teenager told Hove Crown Court that Gully approached him in the public toilets as he waited for a lift home from his mother.
