Scarlett Lee has revealed she is finding it hard to relax or sleep, for fear that the X Factor mansion she's currently living in will burn down in the night.

The hopeful singer, 21, watched her family's mobile home burn to the ground last week, leaving her with a damaged eye and her brother suffering a form of panic attack.

The aftermath has seen Scarlett unable to sleep properly while she resides in the £7million property the X Factor hopefuls are put up in while they're still on the series.

'I [have become] very paranoid thinking there was going to be a fire, so I needed to sleep by the door,' she told The Sun. 'Every time [my family] go to sleep they dream of it. They’re not close to getting a new home - their mental health is the biggest priority at the moment.'

Scarlett also revealed the trauma she suffered when she thought her brother was having heart failure from the ordeal.

'I looked and my brother was on the floor. He was shaking, foaming from the mouth. I was thinking, "has he just had a seizure, a heart attack?"

'I was like, "Mum, I don’t know if my brother’s dead or alive". I was screaming and ripping my hair out.'
