The new girlfriend of Married At First Sight 'bad boy' Sam Ball has broken her silence, revealing they are 'in love' and have been secretly dating for more than two months.
The explosive revelations by Akila Ahmunett will plunge Channel Nine's publicity machine into chaos as the network is currently promoting an 'affair' storyline involving Sam, 26, and another contestant, Ines Basic.
Despite the drama playing out on screen, Akila confirmed to Who magazine on Tuesday that Sam does not end up with any of the women on MAFS - as he leaves both Ines and his 'wife' Elizabeth Sobinoff to date her instead.

Akila, who is based in Sydney, revealed that she has known Sam since January 2018, but they didn't start dating until December 3.
At this time, Sam was still technically in the MAFS experiment and under contract with Channel Nine and producers Endemol Shine Australia.
The couple have said, 'I love you', to each other and even spent New Year's Eve together, according to Akila.

Sam's girlfriend explained that they 'don't talk about' Married At First Sight, nor do they watch it.
But when asked how the tradesman was handling the public backlash to the show, Akila said she would support him 'through anything'.
Perhaps the most unexpected revelation from Akila's interview with Who magazine concerned Sam's 'affair' storyline with Ines Basic.

She hinted that the whole relationship between Sam and Ines - which was supposedly happening between their spouses' backs - was actually staged for TV.
'At the time he didn't know Ines at all so he just did what the producers wanted, but I know that he is very embarrassed and regretful of it all now,' she said.
