And after 17 years in the top seat, Carson Daly is wrapping up Last Call With Carson Daly. The 45-year-old TV presenter revealed he would be stepping down to spend more time with his family. Scroll down for video Finishing up: Carson Daly announced on Tuesday that after 17 years he'd be stepping down from his NBC talk show Last Call 'If you had told me in 2002 I would be a part of the historic NBC late-night family for 17 years, I would have said you were crazy,' he said in a statement. 'Hard to believe it's been so long — 2,000 episodes. It's time to move on to something new and let someone else have access to this incredible platform.' NBC has confirmed that the star will however continue to remain a prominent face of the network with the star continuing his hosting duties on The Voice and Today show. My 30s was about taking on as many of them as I could. Now, in my 40s, I'm focused on quality over quantity.' By the time Last Call wraps, Carson would have recorded 2000 episodes - making him the longest running active host of the same late-night show. Last Call premiered in January 2002 and switched to a documentary style series with pre-taped and produced segments. Initially when it premiered it was a traditional talk-show style presentation. Carson got engaged to food blogger Siri Pinter in 2013 and the pair wed in December two years later. Together they have three children: son Jackson James, nine, and daughters Etta Jones, six, and London Rose, four.
