Amy Acker will appear on an episode of Grey's Anatomy this season playing Dr. Kathleen Shepherd, the fourth sister of the show's late Derek Shepherd, who was played by Patrick Dempsey.
The Gifted actress, 42, is set to play a psychiatrist in an episode on the Shonda Rhimes series' 15th season, in an episode that will focus on another one of Shepherd's siblings, Dr. Amelia Shepherd (played by Caterina Scorsone).
Scorsone told TV Line that the episode will be 'almost like a little movie on its own.
