When Alicia Keys appeared on The Late Late Show with James Cordon last week to announce she'd be hosting the Grammys, many viewers remarked on the eye-catching beads running through her hair. 

And it turns out the stylish accessories were created by Australian label KELA, fast becoming the hottest hair jewellery brand on the planet.  

Beloved by influential hair stylists, KELA pins, clips and charms are now worn by the world's biggest stars, but the brand has humble beginnings.

KELA is the brain child of Perth-based cancer research scientist, Kelly Litterick, who struggled to find hair accessories that stay in tact during dancing
