Ben Affleck has officially retired as Batman.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel's chatshow on Thursday night, the actor explaining he felt it was time to 'pass on the bat torch'.
This being Kimmel, there was quite the send-off, with the chatshow host deciding to 'officially retire' Affleck's bat cape, with his usual mocking take on the idea.
'Warner Bros. has given us something. We're going to officially retire your Bat-cape to the rafters,' he told Ben.

He then brought out a rather unusual version of the famous cape, which on the back said Batfleck in gold lettering, with No 12 beneath.
'That's Brady's number,' said Ben. 'You can't be a hero unless you wear number 12.'
Ben then joked that Warner Bros paid a fortune to digitally erase the number from every frame.
'I insisted to Warner Bros. that be on the whole time,' he said. 'They actually paid $80million to digitally remove it from every movie.'
