Electric Fields missed out on representing Australia at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel by 21 points on Australia's first live selection last weekend.

But despite losing to singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke, the electronic duo's Eurovision bid song '2000 And Whatever' has soared on the iTunes charts.

Speaking to the The Daily Telegraph, the Adelaide-based performers said they knew they had hit the right notes with the public as soon as they stepped off the stage.

Electric Fields, which comprises of vocalist and co-writer Zaachariaha Fielding and composer-producer Michael Ross, were formed in 2015.
