Laverne Cox managed to have a good laugh on a trip to the hospital.

'At urgent care now and the xray tech just asked if there's any chance I am pregnant. I just cackled. Lmao,' she tweeted from Beverly Hills on Valentine's Day.

The 46-year-old transgender actress revealed on Instagram a day later that she had 'fractured a bone in my foot' and required crutches.

'Was going to post the pic I just took of my elevated bone fractured foot but that felt too personal and too depressing,' she wrote in a selfie caption. 

'Enough people probably don't show the tough times on social media and just show the shiny moments, myself included,' she added.
