Olivia Colman's promise to 'get p***ed' after the BAFTAs is played for laughs ...

Olivia Colman’s vow to ‘get p***ed’ after a triumphant night at the 71st annual British Academy Film Awards was played for laughs during the latest edition of long-running US show Saturday Night Live.

The British star was named Best Actress for her role as reclusive Queen Anne of Great Britain in The Favourite, with the film winning seven awards in total on the night.

And her promise to let her hair down with a night on the booze was used to comical effect as American comedienne Cecily Strong impersonated Colman during a hilarious SNL skit on Saturday evening.

Emulating her well-spoken Norwich accent, Strong – wearing a bobbed wig – referenced Colman's acceptance speech, her forthcoming role as Queen Elizabeth in The Crown and perceived lack of fame in the United States during a light-hearted game of Family Feud.

'I’m Oliva Colman, a very celebrated English actress,' she told the audience. 'I play two Queens. I’m sorry, I’m a bit p***ed at the moment.

'I’ve been celebrating my two Golden Globes, and none of you know who the hell I am so I can do or say whatever I want. Oh, I’m gonna wee!'
