Christine Lampard apologises as Jack Whitehall swears on Lorraine

Christine Lampard was forced to apologise on Lorraine after Jack Whitehall swore live on the daytime talk show on Tuesday.

The comedian, 30, made the faux-pas as he discussed what he expected to take place during his hosting duties at The BRITs on Wednesday.

Elaborating on the shenanigans he was looking forward to, Jack said: 'Everyone’s there to have a good time it’s a kind of raucous event.

'The best thing about last year was that everyone was absolutely p***** and the people you expect to be really rowdy, but it was Schofield and Willoughby who were the most drunk, they put them all to shame.'

A shocked Christine then apologised to viewers, as she said: 'I’m glad you said drunk and not that other word, so I have just have to apologise for that, just because it’s half term.'

Later, the comedian took to Twitter to acknowledge the mistake, as he wrote: 'Ok "pissed" is not a word your allowed to say on breakfast television. Who knew?'

While calling it a 'pretty unplayable gig', Jack hinted that Hugh Jackman might make an appearance during his hosting duties for a musical number, as he joked that he'd 'make a lovely bearded lady.'

The comedian also added that he planned to make a joke about One Direction star Niall Horan as he admitted: 'I saw him while I was in America and he said are you going to a joke about me this year, and I said careful what you wish for!'

Going on to talk about his upcoming tour Stood Up, Jack explained that his dad Michael would be a part of it following their successful show which saw them travel the world together.

He told Christine: 'There's doing to be some pretty indiscreet tales, he hasn't heard any of the stories yet, so at some point I'm going to get him to clear them.'
