The Red Hot Chili Peppers disappointed Australian concert patrons on Sunday, when the premiere show of their first tour Down Under in 12 years descended into chaos.

But the American rock band appeared to redeem themselves in the eyes of fans at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday night.

Taking to social media, ticket-holders praised the performance as 'epic' and 'amazing', with some even claiming it was 'one of the best concerts I’ve been to'.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers were formed in Los Angeles in 1983, and have released 11 studio albums over their 35 years in the music industry.

One fan shared a video from the evening, writing 'hitting me right in he nostalgia', while another claimed they 'haven't lost anything in 30 years'.

Fans claimed The Red Hot Chili Peppers 'put on a great show' as they thanked the band for an awesome night.

Despite the opening night of their Australian tour descending into chaos on Sunday in Hobart, Tasmania, fans only appeared to share positive experiences from the Sydney show.

'I’ve wanted to see these guys live for soo long, and they did not disappoint,' one fan beamed, as another added: 'Amazing! Tick that one off the bucket list.'

The hit makers showed off their eclectic style as they hit the stage at Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday, no doubt thrilling fans as they sang their greatest hits. 

Frontman Anthony Kiedis, 56, showed off his tattooed sleeves in a red T-shirt and sporting his moustache and bowl cut.

Australian-American bassist Flea, whose real name is Michael Peter Balzary, 56, wore his signature colourful clothes. 

He teamed his patchwork jeans with a matching bright vest.

The show comes after the opening night of the band's Australian tour, at the Entertainment Centre in Hobart, Tasmania, descended into chaos. 

It was plagued by technical difficulties and a bizarre ban on clapping, with fans
