Miranda Lambert's new police officer husband, Brendan McLoughlin, has been temporarily reassigned to a more covert position after experiencing a rise in media attention following his wedding to the country singer.

Brendan, a police officer with the NYPD, has recently been reassigned from patrolling Times Square on foot after a reporter attempted to contact him at his precinct office, sources have told TMZ.

According to the website, a major TV news outlet headed to NYPD's Midtown South Precinct office in order to speak with Brendan on Monday.

Brendan never spoke with the reporter, who was turned away. 

Now Brendan has been temporarily assigned to driving his superiors around town for several weeks until the media attention decreases.
