Kym Marsh QUITS Coronation Street after 13 years to pursue other acting work

Kym Marsh is leaving Coronation Street after thirteen years playing Michelle O'Connor.

The actress, 42, revealed it was an 'incredibly difficult decision' to bow out of the soap but feels as though it's the right time for her to seek out other roles.   

She told The Sun: 'When I was lucky enough to be offered four episodes I could never in my wildest dreams have thought I’d be here 13 years later. 

'It’s been an incredibly difficult decision but it feels like the right time for me to explore some other roles.
