So it was a surprise to fellow guests at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday, when The Favourite actor Joe and singer Taylor were spotted mingling with the star-studded crowd.

The duo were captured on film by a fellow guest, who shared a brief snippet of footage to Instagram showing a tender moment between the two.
In the clip, Joe, 28, reaches an arm around Taylor's shoulder, as they speak together, before she reaches out to caress him in return.
