She's the first woman to lead a Marvel superhero film as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in the blockbuster of the same name.

The actress, 29, made the surprising admission while appearing on the Jonathan Ross Show in scenes set to air on Saturday, as she explained: 'I think Marvel expected me to at least tell my mum, but I was so scared.
