Rose McGowan is 'not ashamed' to admit she once had an abortion.

The actress, 45, made the revelation Friday on Twitter, after reading a statistic which stated one in four women have had an abortion by age 45, and 60% of those are already mothers. 

Rose shared she underwent the procedure after her own birth control failed.   

'I have had an abortion and I support this message,' she tweeted in response to the stats, posted by UltraViolet. 'I am not ashamed, nor should you be. That 60% of those who choose to have abortions are already mothers says a lot- they understand more than anyone.
