EastEnders fans were left in shock when Friday night's episode saw 84-year-old Dot Cotton become a millionaire.

The longtime Walford resident got the shock of her life when she discovered that her recently departed friend Dr Harold Legg (Leonard Fenton) had left his entire fortune to her.

Dot (played by 92-year-old actress June Brown) insisted she didn't want to know the details of Dr Legg's will, saying it was too painful to hear so soon after his death.
