Sydney's 41st Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras will take place on Saturday night. 

And ahead of the world-famous parade, several celebrities have taken to social media to mark the special ocassion. 

Michelle Bridges, Fiona Falkiner  and Em Rusciano were among the big names who shared powerful messages with their followers on Instagram.
