MAFS 'actor' Sam Ball is pictured in drama Secret City

Married At First Sight was rocked by scandal earlier this week, after eight cast members were exposed as part-time actors.

And footage has resurfaced this week of contestant Samuel Ball playing a background role in Netflix political thriller Secret City.

News of his acting past will come as a blow to MAFS producers, who have repeatedly tried to deny they have hired 'paid performers'.

Sam played a CPP Officer in an episode of Secret City titled 'From Whom The Bell Tolls', according to his IMDB page.

Of course, Secret City isn't Sam's only television credit. He previously starred as a 'river boy' on Channel Seven soap Home and Away last year.

In his now-deleted Star Now acting profile, Sam wrote: 'I have a tendency of making people say "wow" after every experience.'

It comes after Daily Mail Australia revealed that almost half of this year's MAFS participants are part-time actors.

A total of eight contestants have appeared in movies, reality shows and commercials in the past, casting doubt on claims they are simply 'looking for love'.

Despite being billed as a 'barista' on the show, 28-year-old 'intruder' Billy Vincent is actually a model and actor. 

His biggest role to date was playing the lead in a McDonald's advert, which aired across Australia in 2012. 

In the commercial, Billy played a shirtless surfer struggling to find cash. 

Billy's 'wife' Susie Bradley, 25, is also no stranger to being in front of the camera.
