She's been wowing audiences young and old on her Golden Tour and Perth fans are next.

But before bringing her spectacular show to crowds at Sir James Mitchell Park in South Perth on Saturday night, Kyle Minogue, 50, performed a sound check, which was impressive in itself.

Kylie, dressed in a white collared shirt, white T-shirt, green faded jeans and an oversized brown cap, belted out a few of her pop classics as her large group of musicians played along.

Despite her audience only consisting of roadies, sound technicians and other crew, the diminutive singer appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the musical test run.

Kylie was spotted grinning behind a pair of round-frame sunglasses as she stood before the empty stadium in full pop star mode, at one point sticking her arm out towards an imaginary crowd as if re-living a high point at an earlier gig.

A protective crew member stood in close watch over the star as she sang to the accompaniment of her large band.
