The scene opened with the smitten blonde sneakily calling Dan behind her 'husband' Mick Gould's back during homestay visits, but it was an editing fail that viewers found most shocking.
Dan answered the phone call while standing outside his 'wife' Tamara Joy's Melbourne home but the front door mysteriously kept opening and closing in each frame.
Baffled viewers flocked to Twitter to express their confusion.
