However, one former MAFS star claims the controversy is all just a case of semantics and that while co-stars are not paid to act, they are indeed acting on the show. In an Instagram video on Monday, former 'runaway groom' Matty Lockett, said co-stars are aware that bringing drama to the show means getting airtime.
