On Earth, Carol worked and lived with her best friend, Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch) and her daughter Monica who help her recover her forgotten past.
Aficionados of the comics immediately recognized Monica Rambeau's name and theorized that her introduction was just the beginning for her.
In Captain Marvel, Monica was portrayed as a precocious 11-year-old played by This Is Us actress Akira Akbar.
