Ray Winstone attended the St Patrick's Thursday at The Cheltenham Festival 2019 on Thursday amid his bet365 advert controversy.

The 'hard man' actor, 62, who has been fronting the online gambling company's commercials urging people to bet mid-game, looked dapper in a three-piece suit and a tailored coat.

Ray wore a pair of brown tweed trousers with a matching waistcoat and blazer, he teamed the items of clothing with a green shirt and floral tie.

Finishing his look, he added a beige tailored coat, brown fedora hat, black sunglasses and tan leather brogues.

Ray's bet365 adverts have come under controversy and face being banned as part of a crackdown on commercials that target the vulnerable. 

In the commercials, the actor typically implores viewers to 'get your mobiles and laptops out' to gamble on live sporting events — or, as he chummily puts it, 'have a bang on that!' — are among the most widely aired on TV. 

The firm's online promotions, urging punters to wager on events that are 'in play', could be banned by The Industry Group for Responsible Gambling (IGRG), who confirmed in December that a 'whistle to whistle' ban will come into effect during the summer of 2019.

The new rules will see no commercials aired during live sports coverage ahead of the watershed of 9pm, which includes five minutes before and after the event.
